What's Happening?
EM&E Group has introduced its new Odin 6x6 counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (C-UAV) system at the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris. This system is designed to detect, identify, and neutralize aerial threats using a combination of soft and hard kill effects.
The Odin system is mounted on EM&E's Ferox armored vehicle and features the Guardian 2.0 Pro remote weapon station, which is equipped with a 30 mm cannon and a 7.62 mm machine gun. The system is also set to incorporate advanced ammunition, including Northrop Grumman's programmable fuze and Nammo's 30mm x 173 Programable Airburst Explosive (PABEX) round. The Odin system integrates multiple sensors and effectors, such as flat panel radars and RF detection and jamming antennas, to enhance its threat detection capabilities.
