What's Happening?
NASA has awarded Intuitive Machines a $180.4 million contract to deliver science and technology payloads to the lunar South Pole region. This contract marks the company's fifth award under NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative. The
mission, known as IM-5, will utilize Intuitive Machines' Nova-D lunar lander to deliver seven payloads, including a rover developed by the Australian Space Agency and Honeybee Robotics. The mission aims to study the lunar environment and collect data through autonomous surface operations.
