What's Happening?
Peyton Heermance, a student from Bret Harte FFA, has been awarded the Star in Agricultural Placement at the 98th Annual California FFA State Leadership Conference. This prestigious award recognizes students who excel in employment-based supervised agricultural
experiences (SAE). Heermance has been working at Angel's Camp Veterinary Hospital, where he performs various tasks such as rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with surgeries, and running lab samples. His dedication and skills in veterinary science have also earned him the 2025 National FFA Proficiency title in the same field. The State Star Awards celebrate outstanding FFA members from six regions across California, highlighting their achievements in production, agribusiness, agricultural placement, and agriscience.
