In June, Tether Investments, a company affiliated with Tether, acquired a significant stake in Elemental Altus Royalties, a gold mining company. Additionally, Tether reportedly holds $8 billion worth of gold in a Swiss vault and has issued nearly 250,000 gold-backed stablecoins (XAUT) by the end of the second quarter.
