What's Happening?
The Bulgarian government has announced a change in the concession holders for two significant mining deposits. Mineral 2000, a subsidiary of Austria's Strabag, will replace Kiryaevska Var in the 25-year concession contract for the Rafaelo limestone deposit.
Additionally, Medekom 2023, a building materials mining company, will take over the 35-year concession contract for the Erkovishte gneiss deposit from Rumen Arnaudov-Aiten Arnaudova.
