Photographer AJ Smadi achieved a rare feat by capturing the International Space Station (ISS) and Venus in the same frame from a park in Edmonds, Washington. This marks the second time Smadi has captured such an alignment, with the first being his own
as well. The photograph required meticulous planning due to the rarity of the alignment and the speed of the ISS, which travels at 7.5 kilometers per second. Smadi used a 9.25-inch Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope and a ZWO ASI662MC camera to capture the image, employing a UV/IR filter to enhance clarity.
