GlobalMET, an international association dedicated to maritime education and training, has appointed Jillian Carson-Jackson as its new Managing Director. Carson-Jackson brings over four decades of experience in maritime operations, regulation, and policy,
having worked across three continents. Her expertise includes vessel traffic services, maritime communications, and training standards. She will collaborate with Captain Pradeep Chawla, Chairman of GlobalMET, and Captain Vinayak Mohla, Director, to enhance the organization's role in maritime education, especially as the STCW Convention undergoes revisions. Carson-Jackson expressed enthusiasm for her new role, emphasizing the need for collaboration and practical standards in the rapidly changing maritime industry.
