Haryana has been awarded the Geospatial Excellence Award at the Geospatial World Forum 2026 for its innovative use of technology in the agriculture sector. The award highlights the 'Space to Citizen Service'
ecosystem developed by the Haryana Space Applications Centre (HARSAC), which operates under the Haryana Citizen Resources Information Department (CRID). This system is designed to aid farmers by providing real-time monitoring, transparent governance, and scientific planning for agriculture and land resources. The ecosystem supports over 15 lakh farmers and involves more than 4,000 active daily users, including government officials and young innovators. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini praised the achievement, emphasizing the state's commitment to digital agriculture and geospatial innovation.
