HII's Romulus-25 unmanned surface vessel (USV) has passed a critical military test, recognized by the U.S. Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). The test involved two autonomous vessels demonstrating advanced mission behaviors, including navigation and threat
interdiction, under various operational scenarios. Developed with MetalCraft Marine, the Romulus-25 is part of HII's PRIME prototype project, aimed at delivering cost-effective, production-ready autonomous vessels for the U.S. Marine Corps. The success positions the Romulus-25 for potential production, enhancing the Navy's capabilities in contested environments.
