A 13-year-old boy named Angel Roman Mendoza Lopez tragically died after being struck by a car while riding his electric scooter in Pomona, California. The incident occurred as Angel attempted to cross the street on San Antonio Avenue, where his view and
that of the driver were obstructed by a parked vehicle. Despite being rushed to Pomona Valley Hospital and later transferred to Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Angel succumbed to his injuries. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Angel's family has started a GoFundMe campaign to cover funeral expenses, which has raised over $14,000.
