What's Happening?
A self-defense course named S.A.F.E. is being held in York Township, providing participants with practical tools to protect themselves in everyday situations. Led by Gary Smith of Point Blank Defense, the course focuses on awareness, prevention, and basic
self-defense techniques. It includes demonstrations of scenarios such as wrist grabs and choke holds, and educates attendees on the use of defensive safety devices like pepper spray and personal alarms. The course aims to increase participants' confidence and preparedness by teaching them to act proactively in potentially dangerous situations. Open to individuals aged 12 and older, the class costs $50 and is held at the York Township Park Building.
