NASA has opened the Flight Dynamics Research Facility, its first major new wind tunnel in over 40 years, at the Langley Research Center in Virginia. This facility will support testing for aircraft safety, X-plane development, drone research, and spacecraft
technology. It features a 20-foot diameter test chamber and a top airspeed of 117 miles per hour, allowing for advanced simulations of full-scale vehicles.
