What's Happening?
Swedish skills intelligence platform MuchSkills is partnering with Phillips Consulting to implement a skills assessment initiative within Nigeria's federal civil service. This collaboration is part of the Personnel Audit and Skills Gap Analysis (PASGA)
program, led by Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. The initiative aims to map and analyze the skills of approximately 70,000 civil service employees, forming the core of Nigeria's public sector workforce, which totals around one million people. The project seeks to identify critical capability gaps and provide real-time data to guide training, hiring, and reforms to improve public service delivery. The mapping phase began in October and is nearing completion.
