The Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) has initiated a training program to address the shortage of skilled workers in the heavy machinery sector. In collaboration with the Modern Mechanical and Workshop Training Centre (MMWTC),
the program aims to equip local youth with the necessary skills for operating heavy machinery such as backhoe loaders, track excavators, and tipper trucks. The first phase of the program has successfully trained 45 candidates, who received certification after completing courses that combined classroom instruction with practical experience. This initiative is part of the state government's efforts to empower local youth and reduce unemployment by creating a skilled workforce.
