EHang Holdings Limited, a leading advanced air mobility (AAM) technology platform company, has introduced its Global Fast Track Program. This initiative aims to streamline the assessment and introduction of pilotless electric vertical take-off and landing
(eVTOL) operations in international markets. Sri Lanka is the first country to adopt this program, with its Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation and the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) targeting sandbox commercialization within four months. This timeline is contingent on the successful completion of mandatory regulatory, technical, operational, and safety assessments. Initial operations in Sri Lanka will focus on a designated sandbox zone in Colombo's Port City, establishing eVTOL operational services.
