Western Michigan University (WMU) Study Abroad has announced a new program, 'Cultural Immersion in India,' to commemorate its 30-year partnership with Christ University in Bangalore. This six-day experiential learning program is designed for undergraduate
students, offering a blend of academic study and cultural engagement with India's people, traditions, businesses, and heritage. To celebrate this milestone, the Haenicke Institute for Global Education will cover program fees and airfare for participating students. The initiative aims to provide a unique opportunity for WMU students to connect with local students in Bangalore and engage in a transformative global experience. Priority for financial support will be given to students who have not previously studied abroad with WMU or those who receive the Federal Pell Grant subsidy. This new program adds to WMU Study Abroad's existing offerings in India, which include the multidisciplinary 'Sustainability, Social Justice, Education and Commerce in India' trip.
