What's Happening?
A Wish Come True is organizing the Weekend for Wishes fundraiser from March 13-17 to support children with life-threatening illnesses. The event will feature the Shamrocks and Shenanigans dance at the Venus de Milo in Swansea and the Hats for Wishes fundraiser across
various Bristol County locations. This year's beneficiaries include Dominic, 3, from Swansea, and Oliver, 3, from Somerset, who wish to visit Give Kids The World Village, Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld. Madison, 15, from Mansfield, who has cerebral palsy, also shares this wish. Community members are encouraged to participate by attending events and visiting participating establishments to support the cause.
Why It's Important?
The Weekend for Wishes fundraiser highlights the power of community involvement in providing joy and hope to children facing severe health challenges. By granting wishes, the event not only brings happiness to the children but also raises awareness about the needs of families dealing with life-threatening illnesses. The initiative fosters community spirit and demonstrates the impact of collective efforts in making a difference in the lives of affected families. It also underscores the importance of charitable organizations in addressing social and health-related issues.
