Lithuania's Ministry of National Defence has signed a EUR320 million contract with Saab for Bolide surface-to-air missiles to enhance its RBS 70 short-range air-defense systems. This agreement ensures
a steady supply of ammunition to the Lithuanian Armed Forces from 2026 to 2032. The Bolide missile, known for its laser-guided and jamming-resistant capabilities, can destroy air targets up to 9 km away and penetrate armor up to 200 mm thick. This contract follows previous orders for mobile short-range air-defense equipment, including mobile fire and radar units and a command-and-control system.
