What's Happening?
Boeing is actively exploring the integration of an active, electronically-scanned array (AESA) radar onto the Apache attack helicopter. This initiative, in collaboration with the U.S. Army, aims to significantly enhance the helicopter's situational awareness
and target detection capabilities. The AESA radar is expected to extend the Apache's target detection range beyond the current capabilities of the Lockheed Martin/Northrop Grumman Longbow radar.
