What's Happening?
Germany has received its first NH90 Sea Tiger helicopter, part of a fleet of 31 multi-role frigate helicopters for the German Navy. The Sea Tiger, designed for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, was formally inducted at the German Naval Aviation
base in Nordholz. The helicopter features advanced modifications, including electronic support measures, a dipping sonar, and a 360-degree surface search radar. It is equipped with anti-ship missiles, torpedoes, and machine guns, and is designed for shipborne operations with folding rotors and tailboom. The delivery of the remaining helicopters is expected to continue until 2030.
