What's Happening?
The Southeast Pace Foundation and Kubota Manufacturing have partnered to support the Lanier College and Career Academy's Agriculture program by donating a new Kubota tractor. This initiative, which began in February 2025, aims to enhance agricultural education at LCCA, located near a Kubota plant. The tractor, delivered on September 5, will be used by students in the Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education Pathway program, providing them with hands-on experience with modern equipment. Josh O'Hara, Executive Director of the Southeast Pace Foundation, highlighted the importance of equipping students with tools for successful careers.
Why It's Important?
This donation represents a significant investment in agricultural education, providing students with practical experience that is crucial for their future careers. By integrating modern equipment into the curriculum, the program can better prepare students for the demands of the agricultural industry. The partnership between the Southeast Pace Foundation and Kubota Manufacturing exemplifies how collaboration between educational institutions and industry can enhance vocational training and support workforce development. This initiative may inspire similar collaborations, benefiting educational programs and local economies.
