President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania has emphasized the critical role of government communication as a strategic tool for safeguarding national interests and enhancing public trust. During a seminar in Zanzibar, she highlighted the necessity for coordinated,
professional, and strategically managed communication. The seminar aimed to foster a unified approach among senior leaders from the Union Government and the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar. President Hassan underscored that effective communication not only boosts public confidence but also encourages citizen participation in national development. She pointed out that timely and accurate dissemination of government policies and achievements in sectors like education, health, infrastructure, and energy is crucial. The President also linked the success of the National Development Vision 2050 to private sector participation, stressing the importance of strong communication and collaboration between the government and businesses.
