MGI Engineering, a UK-based company, has successfully completed the first flight tests of its TigerShark one-way effector. This low-cost deep strike effector is designed to meet the requirements of the UK and its allies for a scalable, heavy-duty system.
The TigerShark can reach speeds of 750 km/h and operate effectively in environments where Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are denied. It carries a 300 kg payload and can strike targets at ranges exceeding 1,000 km. The flight tests were conducted at the Ministry of Defence Hebrides range, marking a significant milestone in European aerospace capabilities.
