This initiative aims to address the significant environmental impact of traditional agriculture, which contributes to 29% of greenhouse gas emissions. By adopting AI technologies, such as drone farming, and promoting CSA, the goal is to enhance agricultural productivity while reducing environmental harm. Drones equipped with advanced sensors are being used to monitor crop health and optimize resource use, potentially reducing chemical usage by up to 30%. Additionally, the IPL Farmer Samvad app is being introduced to provide farmers with access to modern farming techniques and real-time data, empowering them to make informed decisions.
