Kodal Minerals, an Aim-listed company, has commenced the export of lithium spodumene concentrate from its Bougouni lithium project in southern Mali. The first truckloads have departed the site and are undergoing final customs formalities before being
transported to the port of San Pedro in Côte d’Ivoire. The Bougouni operation team is tasked with moving 30,000 tons of spodumene concentrate from the project’s stockpile to the port for the initial export to Hainan, China. The transportation process is expected to take between four to six weeks, with plans to continue moving the full 45,000-ton stockpile to ensure a steady supply at the San Pedro port for subsequent shipments. Kodal Minerals CEO Bernard Aylward emphasized the significance of this milestone, noting the successful construction of the dense media separation plant and the processing of ore from the Ngoualana open pit.
