Embraer subsidiary OGMA has formed a strategic partnership with Axiscades, an Indian technology solutions company, to enhance Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) capabilities in India. This collaboration aims to bolster India's indigenous MRO ecosystem
by focusing on aerospace manufacturing, airframe engineering, and certification services for both commercial and military aircraft. The partnership is set to provide maintenance and support services for Embraer and other manufacturers' aircraft fleets operating in India, including commercial, VVIP, VIP, and airborne early warning and control aircraft platforms. By localizing MRO services, the partnership seeks to reduce dependency on overseas facilities, improve fleet availability, and retain high-value maintenance spending within India. Axiscades is establishing an integrated aerospace and defense manufacturing and MRO hub near Bengaluru International Airport, which will include dedicated aircraft hangars, engine shops, and other facilities to support both civil and defense aviation requirements.
