What's Happening?
Western Illinois University is set to host the 2026 Western Illinois Senior Games on April 24-25. This event will welcome older adults from across the region for two days of competitive activities and community engagement. The games will feature a variety
of sports, including golf, pickleball, swimming, bowling, track and field, free throws, table tennis, and disc golf. Most of these events will be held at Hanson Field, the Student Recreation Center, and Brophy Hall on the WIU campus. However, bowling and swimming competitions will take place off-campus at Digger’s College Bowl and the McDonough County YMCA. In addition to the athletic competitions, participants can attend a Friday evening social and a Saturday morning opening ceremony. The event aims to promote health, wellness, and friendly competition while strengthening community ties.
