Lona G. Kennard, a resident of Webster, N.Y., passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on September 11, 2025. Born in Merrill, N.Y., she was the daughter of Lester and Beulah Shutts. Lona spent her early years in Chateaugay and Malone, N.Y., graduating
from Franklin Academy in 1960. She worked at various companies, including The Singer Corporation and V.N.H Industries, before retiring in 1998. Lona married Danny R. Kennard in 1972, and they spent 49 years together, raising their daughter in Webster. After retiring, they moved to Crane Lakes Community in Port Orange, FL, where Lona became an avid golfer. Her life was marked by her love for family, especially her granddaughter Cora, and her kindness towards friends and family. A celebration of her life is scheduled for January 9, 2026, at New Comer Funeral Home in Rochester, N.Y.
