What's Happening?
The University of Oregon has commenced construction on one of the largest all-mass-timber healthcare projects in the United States. The $83 million facility, designed by ZGF Architects and constructed
by Skanska, will house the Ballmer Institute for Children’s Behavioral Health and the Prevention Science Institute. The project aims to enhance Oregon's behavioral health workforce and improve outcomes for children and families. The building will feature innovative use of cross-laminated timber and glulam, promoting sustainability and efficiency in construction.
