The Puma 3 AE is a third-generation tactical unmanned aircraft system (UAS) developed by AeroVironment for land and maritime operations. Designed for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance missions, the Puma 3 AE offers significant
operational flexibility with enhanced support for secondary payload upgrades. The UAS features a reinforced airframe, a range of up to 60km with extended antennas, and a flight endurance of up to three hours. It is equipped with the Mantis i45 electro-optical/infrared sensor suite, providing high-resolution imagery in various environments. The system is fully man-portable, fitting into a single case, and can be launched by hand or using a vertical take-off and landing kit.
