Jordan's Ministry of Agriculture has announced a 14% increase in agricultural exports during the first half of 2026, reaching a total of 281,000 tonnes. This growth is attributed to higher shipments of fruits, vegetables, and livestock products. Vegetable
exports rose by 13.1% to 197,000 tonnes, while fruit exports increased by 18% to 83,000 tonnes. The livestock sector also saw substantial gains, with hatching egg exports surging by 159% to 77 million eggs and table egg exports rising by 71% to 134 million eggs. Sheep exports reached 163,000 head. Minister Saeb Abdul Halim Khreisat credited the Economic Modernization Vision and collaboration between the ministry, private sector, and farmers for these achievements. The ministry plans to continue exploring new export markets while maintaining existing trade partnerships.
