The Serbian-Jewish Academic Center Saint Sava and Yehuda Alkalai in Jerusalem is fostering cultural and academic exchange between Serbia and Israel. Established six years ago, the center promotes dialogue and research between the two nations, focusing
on shared historical experiences and cultural understanding. The center is named after Saint Sava, a key figure in Serbian history, and Rabbi Yehuda Alkalai, a forerunner of Zionism. It serves as a platform for studying languages, history, and the Holocaust, with students from both countries engaging in collaborative research. Recently, the center celebrated Serbia's Statehood Day, known as Sretenje, through an initiative led by Israeli students, highlighting the growing friendship and cultural ties between the two communities.
