A seven-vehicle collision occurred on Idaho Highway 31 in Teton County due to winter driving conditions. The incident took place at mile marker 15.5 when a Nissan Titan, driven by a 31-year-old man from Peru, attempted to pass another vehicle while traveling
too fast for the icy conditions. This action resulted in a chain reaction crash involving six other vehicles, including a Ford Bronco, GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Silverado, Dodge Ram, Ford F150, and a Toyota van. Fortunately, all drivers were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported. The highway was blocked for approximately two and a half hours as emergency responders managed the scene.
