Campus Compact has relaunched its Community Engagement Professional (CEP) Credentialing program, designed to enhance the expertise and practice of individuals in the field of community engagement. The program offers microcredentials across key competencies,
including Community Engagement Fundamentals, Community Partnerships, Community-Engaged Learning & Teaching, Engaged Research, and Critical Commitments. Participants can pursue these microcredentials through independent, self-paced learning or facilitated cohort learning, with the next cohort scheduled to begin in early 2027. Campus Compact member institutions also have the option to integrate the program for staff professional development at a discounted rate. Completing five microcredentials qualifies individuals for full certification as a Campus Compact Community Engagement Professional, providing formal recognition of their competency in higher education civic and community engagement.
