Colorado State University's (CSU) C.A.N.S. Around The Oval, a signature food and fund drive, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Founded in 1986, the event has grown into one of the largest food and fund drives in Northern Colorado. This year, the drive, which
starts on September 14 and culminates in Collection Day on October 14, aims to raise $50,000 and collect 20,000 pounds of food. The collected items will benefit the Food Bank for Larimer County, where almost 11% of the population faces food insecurity. For the first time, the drive has moved to the Office for Basic Needs at CSU, expanding its focus beyond food to include education and resources for housing, transportation, utilities, and hygiene access through 'CANversations' with community partners.
