What's Happening?
India has made significant progress in its domestic Rudram-II missile programme, with recent tests demonstrating operational accuracy against targets even at the margins of an aircraft's flight envelope. The Indian Ministry of Defence reported that the missile,
in development since 2022, was launched under extreme conditions and successfully guided to a predefined target. The tests confirmed the capability of all subsystems, with objectives met and data verified by the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur. The Rudram-II, a 300 km-class missile, is being developed for the Indian Air Force's Su-30MKI and Dassault Mirage 2000 aircraft, featuring a solid-propellant rocket motor and advanced navigation systems.
