The New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) has announced the expansion of its international sales team with the appointments of Irette Ferreira and Xanthe Smythe. This move comes as the NZICC aims to enhance its global event pipeline following
a successful start, having hosted significant events such as TRENZ, MEETINGS, and the inaugural MICHELIN Guide New Zealand ceremony. Ferreira, who joins as an international sales consultant, brings over 20 years of experience in global business events, having worked in South Africa, Qatar, the UAE, and New Zealand. Smythe, appointed as the sales manager for international events, also has over two decades of experience in hospitality, sales, and events. Both will work under the leadership of Alana Bicknell, NZICC's director of sales, to further the centre's reach in the international market.
