A Mecklenburg County sheriff’s deputy, Francisco Ramos, was arrested by Mint Hill Police on an assault charge related to a domestic violence incident. The arrest occurred on Wednesday, and Ramos was charged with assault on a female at his residence. Following
his first court appearance, he was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond and was served with a domestic violence protective order. Ramos, who began his tenure with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office in 2012, was terminated from his position on Thursday.
