The essential oil contains methyl salicylate, a substance that must be packaged in child-resistant containers as per the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). Approximately 2,970 units were sold in the United States from October 2023 through November 2025. The product was manufactured in China and distributed by Guangzhou Feifan Kuajing Supply Chain Co. Ltd., operating as Gumili Beauty. No incidents or injuries have been reported so far.
