What's Happening?
A new museum space dedicated to the work of renowned designer Gio Ponti is set to open in Milan by the end of 2026. The ADI Design Museum, which will house this new space, is expanding its complex to include
an 8,611-square-foot area showcasing Ponti's contributions to design. This initiative is part of the 2026 Fondazione Milano Cortina Cultural Olympiad program. The Region of Lombardy is a major partner in this project, which aims to honor Ponti's legacy nearly 50 years after his death. Ponti, a pivotal figure in Italian midcentury modern design, is celebrated for his work in architecture, furniture, and design objects.
