What's Happening?
Wilkes-Barre city officials have announced several road closures scheduled for the upcoming week to facilitate infrastructure projects. Hillman Street will be closed from West Sidney Street to the dead end, including Burrier Street, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
on Monday for sewer repair work. Additionally, South Franklin Street between South Street and Northampton Street will be closed from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday for a project involving a large crane. Traffic will be directed by flaggers, and signage will be in place to guide vehicles towards downtown businesses, including the YMCA.
