The Pentagon is planning to procure dozens of unmanned surface vessels (USVs) to enhance U.S. Army logistics operations in contested environments within the Indo-Pacific region. According to a release from the Defense Innovation Unit, these vessels, known
as Autonomous Resupply Vehicles (ARV-S), are intended to support logistics by delivering 20-foot-long containers to forward-deployed units.
