Cultivar STL has launched a new fund aimed at strengthening the bond between agtech ecosystems in Latin America and St. Louis, Missouri. The Core Facilities Access Fund recently awarded its first two startups and plans to assist more in the future. This
initiative, supported by Breakthrough Energy Discovery, provides selected startups from Latin America with the opportunity to advance research, validate technologies, and build industry connections through the Danforth Center’s facilities, renowned for their contributions to plant science.

What's Next?
The fund aims to continue supporting additional startups, enhancing the St. Louis region's reputation for agricultural innovation. Selected companies will receive funding to access the Danforth Center’s facilities, which include plant growth, phenotyping, and bioanalytical chemistry. The projects are expected to be relatively short, lasting six to nine months, with the potential for further expansion and collaboration.
