What's Happening?
UNESCO, the United Nations specialized agency for education, is leading efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4, focusing on inclusive and quality education. In Pakistan, UNESCO is collaborating with federal and provincial governments to enhance
education systems through policy development and teacher training. The agency is implementing the Climate Smart Education Systems Initiative, funded by the Global Partnership for Education, in partnership with UNESCO-IIEP and Save the Children. This initiative aims to integrate climate resilience and disaster risk reduction into education policies and practices, strengthening the resilience of Pakistan's education sector against climate-related challenges.
