Eurostar and Deutsche Bahn have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish direct high-speed train services between London and major German cities, including Cologne and Frankfurt, by the early
2030s. The proposed service aims to reduce travel times to approximately four hours to Cologne and just over five hours to Frankfurt, offering a seamless city center-to-city center connection. The initiative will utilize Eurostar's upcoming Celestia fleet, which promises increased capacity and energy efficiency.
