Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu emphasized the cultural and symbolic importance of the Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara, describing it as the heartbeat of Telangana and a powerful symbol of the state's self-respect. During a review of the festival
arrangements at Medaram, he highlighted the government's commitment to showcasing the festival's uniqueness and grandeur. The state government is investing Rs 260 crore in the festival, with Rs 150 crore allocated for the event's conduct and Rs 110 crore for permanent temple construction. The Deputy Chief Minister assured that 85% of the arrangements are complete, with the remaining work expected to finish by January 15. He also noted that funds have been released and bills for completed works are being cleared promptly. The festival is being treated with utmost seriousness, with all departments, including Health and Electricity, instructed to remain vigilant until its completion.
