The Downtown Neighborhood Association of Elgin is preparing for the holiday season with its annual Holly Days promotion. This initiative aims to increase foot traffic in the city’s downtown area by offering
a variety of events and activities. Executive Director Jennifer Fukala highlighted the growing interest in the holiday campaign, which includes more than 40 businesses participating in Small Business Saturday on November 29. The event features a Holiday Cheers Beverage crawl, where 25 businesses will serve drinks, and various pop-up markets and activities such as Santa's Workshop and free trolley rides. The campaign is designed to encourage local shopping, which is crucial for businesses to balance out slower periods throughout the year.
