Geely has introduced a Raytron automotive thermal imaging system in its LEVC L380 electric vehicle to improve night driving safety. The system, which includes an infrared night vision camera, is designed
to reduce collisions by detecting pedestrians and vehicles with high accuracy. It offers a detection range of up to 300 meters, surpassing conventional headlights, and provides horizontal coverage across multiple traffic lanes. The system's infrared module can penetrate darkness, fog, and glare, where optical cameras often fail. This technology is being adopted by several Chinese carmakers, indicating a shift from luxury to mainstream vehicle markets.
