Robert Roy Schenck, a prominent hand surgeon, passed away at the age of 94 on November 30, 2025. Schenck was well-known for his contributions to hand surgery, particularly his dynamic traction method treatment. He served at Rush Medical Center for over
40 years and was a founding president of the Hand Surgery Endowment of the American Association for Surgery of the Hand. Schenck was also a founding member of the Chicago Society for Surgery of the Hand and served as president of the Holland Society of New York from 2014 to 2016. A memorial service is scheduled for January 3rd at St. Marks Episcopal Church in Glen Ellyn, IL.
