What's Happening?
The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) has inaugurated the Home of Sustainable Agriculture of the Americas pavilion at COP30 in northern Brazil. This event, attended by approximately one hundred guests from various sectors,
aims to highlight actions contributing to the sustainable transformation of agriculture. The pavilion is located in the AgriZone, an area established by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA) to showcase agricultural innovation. IICA and its partners will host events until November 21, featuring specialists in family farming, innovation, digital technologies, and the bioeconomy. The initiative is part of IICA's efforts to prioritize agriculture in climate negotiations, emphasizing the role of farmers in global food and environmental security.

The opening of the pavilion underscores the critical role of agriculture in addressing climate change and food security. What's Next?
IICA plans to continue its efforts in promoting sustainable agriculture through the Hemispheric Partnership for Food Security in the Americas. This initiative, launched in 2021, has compiled nearly 90 high-impact projects in cooperation with around 200 partners. The partnership focuses on areas such as food security, regenerative agriculture, and agricultural digitalization. Future events at the pavilion will further explore these topics, aiming to attract greater investment and strengthen ties with the private sector. The ongoing collaboration between IICA and its partners is expected to drive innovation and sustainability in agriculture across the hemisphere.
